Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup fresh spinach washed
  • 1 ripe banana optional for added sweetness
  • 1 cup almond milk or other plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder optional for added nutrients
  • Ice cubes as needed, for desired texture

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all ingredients by washing and measuring them.
  • Place the avocado, spinach, banana (if using), almond milk, chia seeds, lime juice, and spirulina powder in the blender.
  • Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  • Add ice cubes if desired and blend again for a cooler, thicker consistency.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen banana instead of ice cubes for a naturally sweetened, creamy texture.
Adjust the consistency by adding more almond milk for a thinner smoothie or additional ice for a thicker blend.
Substitute kale or arugula for spinach, if preferred.
For an extra boost of antioxidants, add a teaspoon of matcha powder.
