Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk any type
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add the milk, maple syrup (or honey), egg, melted butter (or coconut oil), and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and optional nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden and the oatmeal has set.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This recipe is customizable; feel free to substitute the apples with pears or add dried fruits like raisins.
To make it dairy-free, opt for a non-dairy milk and coconut oil instead of butter.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheated when needed.
